sudden floods and landslides caused by heavy rains, which began on August 3, flooded large areas of the central and northern parts of the country, cutting off access to the villages and violating traffic.
According to STA Slovenian news agency, at the moment at least 6 people were killed, two of which foreigners.
The flood as a result of pouring rains caused Slovenia, probably the most severe damage for the modern period of the country’s history.
This was reported by the Slovenian Press Agency with reference to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Robert Goloba.
Golob, together with the Minister of Defense of the Republic, Maryan Sharetem, expressed his intention to accept help from abroad to combat a natural disaster.
