The number of people who died as a result of an accident at a mine in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan increased to 45.

This was reported in the Ministry of Emergencies of Kazakhstan.

as of 22:00 local time, the bodies of 45 dead were discovered, the search for one miner continues, the department said.

The accident occurred on the morning of October 28. At the time of the emergency, 252 people were underground, 206 miners were brought to the surface.

On behalf of the President of Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, chaired by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, a government commission was created to investigate the causes and liquidation of the consequences of an accident at a mine in the Karaganda region.
