The number of people who died as a result of the flood and the gathering of landslides caused by the Yaga typhoon in Myanmar increased to 384 people.
The country’s military administration confirmed that 89 people are still listed as missing.
Typhoon seriously affected many regions, including the states of Kai and Kayin, causing damage to roads, bridges, houses and schools.
General Min Ang Hlaing, the leader of the military administration, together with other military officials visited the injured areas and controlled rescue and restoration work.
Typhoon Yagi, raging for about a week, fell to the north of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar, causing floods and landslides that claimed the lives of hundreds of people.
According to the UN, the number of victims of the disaster in Myanmar reached 887 thousand.
At the beginning of the week, the military administration requested assistance from foreign states and humanitarian organizations to combat the consequences of a natural disaster.
