The number of those who died as a result of an armed attack on the column of vehicles in the Pakistani Province of Haibert Pakhtunhwi increased to 42. This was announced by one of the ministers of the Pakistani province AFTAB Alam.
Alam noted that the investigation related to the search for the culprits of the incident continues.
The local police representative Ali said that the cars were part of a column of about 200 vehicles transporting Muslims from the city of Parachikar to Peshawar.
As a result of one of the most deadly attacks in the region in recent years, 20 passengers were injured, he said. According to Ali, 10 people are in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Pakistan Mokhsin Naksin called the incident “terrorist attack”.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shakhbaz Sharif also condemned the attack and said that the guilty people would not remain unpunished.
