Number Of Victims Of Earthquakes In Myanmar Exceeded 2 Thousand

As a result of two powerful earthquakes with magnitude 7.7 and 6.4, which occurred in Myanmar on March 28, at least 2,056 people were killed, the number of wounded reached 3,900. This was reported by the Sinhua agency with reference to the country’s military authorities.

According to local authorities, about 270 people are missing. Destruction affected a significant part of the central region of the country, especially the Sikain region.

The underground shocks were also felt in neighboring Thailand. In Bangkok, the number of dead increased to 17, wounded – to 32, another 83 people are considered missing.

Due to large-scale destruction, the authorities fear the further growth of the number of victims.
