The number of victims of the landslide gathering in Ecuador increased to 43 people. This was reported in the National Secretariat of Risk Management of a Latin American country.

The landslide set off on March 27 in the town of Alausi of Chimboruso.

Search and rescue work is ongoing. Due to the risk of a new landing gathering from the disaster area, about 1000 people were evacuated. 163 houses are damaged, 57 – completely destroyed.

Work is carried out to resume traffic on closed routes.
