Number Of Visitors To Closed Marash In TRK Reached 2 Million People

The number of visitors to the closed Marash, located within the city of Famagusta of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRK), reached 2 million people.

A two million visitor to Marash, who was opened for visiting on October 8, 2020, became a member of the Ozzhan family from Turkey.

President TRSK Ersin Tatars, commander of the security forces, Major General Osman Aitach and mayor Famagusta Suleiman Uluchai met with the Ozzhan family, who visited the closed Marash, and handed them memorable gifts.

In his speech, the President of Tatars recalled that the closed Marash was open to visitors after 46 years with the support of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, adding that interest in this region is very great.

Tatars explained that the community of Cypriots-Turok retains its presence on the island for 453 years. The President said that in the closed Marash there are many historical artifacts belonging to the time of the Ottoman Empire.

according to his skids, a closed Marash is an ancient and very important plot of land belonging to the Cyprus -Turkish people, “a closed Marash is the foundation and property of the ancestors, and the land is ours.”

Ersin Tatars thanked the commander of the security forces of Major General Aitach and the military for the fact that they best defend Marash.
