The UN International Court of Justice has scheduled hearing on October 14-19, within the framework of the proceedings between Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding the violation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. This was reported by the press service of the court.
In a press release, which quotes TASS, it is noted that “hearing on October 14-15 will concern the requirements for the introduction of temporary interim measures filed by Armenia.” The hearing on October 18-19 will concern the similar requirement filed by Azerbaijan.
“in connection with the pandemic of the meeting will be carried out in a hybrid format,” they said in court. “Some judges will take part in the hearings in person, others will connect along video links. Representatives of the parties will also be able to participate in hearings or personally or by video link.”
Azerbaijan on September 24 filed a claim that states that Armenia committed and continues to perform a number of discriminatory actions against Azerbaijanis on the basis of their national and ethnic origin.
