The main condition for the peace negotiations of Ukraine with Russia is the recognition by the Russian side of the Ukrainian borders of 1991. This was stated by adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak.
“The end of the conflict is associated with the borders that were recorded in the international agreements of 1991. There is Russia, there is Ukraine. We stand. We are enough. We do not go to the territory of Russia. We do not need this,” said Podolyak in Interview with the German publication ZDF.
The Ukrainian authorities have previously repeatedly put forward such a condition for negotiations with Russia. So, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky made a similar statement.
