Queen of UK Elizabeth II celebrated its official 95th birthday on Saturday. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the modest ceremony is held in a row in the Windsor Castle, where the monarch itself is self-injected from November last year, reports TASS.
At the ceremony in honor of the anniversary birthday of Her Majesty, who is celebrated in the second Saturday of June, Elizabeth II accompanied her 85-year-old cousin, Duke Kent Prince Edward.
The solemn event passed in the sunny June day in the courtyard of the castle of the XI century building. Upon arrival, the monarch ranked his place under the white awn to watch the ceremony. The queen was traced by the Guards of the first battalion of the Scottish Guard.
Greeting was accompanied by the sounds of the State Anthem “God, King Korolev”, performed by the Military Orchestra of the Royal Guards Division. This year, the Scottish Guardsmen joined it, who performed music on their traditional tools – boils.
