The Minister of Energy of Sri Lankan Kanchan Videsecker said he received answers from Russian oil companies on the issue of purchase of fuel on credit, writes Economy Next.
“I have answers from Russian companies proposed by the Russian ambassador [Yuri Matter],” the minister said.
He said that he transmitted the answers to both the matter, and Sri Lanka in Russia, Janit Liyanaga to further discuss the issue of supplies. According to ADADADERANA, the amount of fuel purchase is $ 90 million. By June, Sri Lanka’s expenses for oil increased to $ 550 million, in total, the country owed $ 730 million to oil companies.
