The Ombudsman came up with a new proposal in connection with the restriction of a person’s departure from the country. As reported by haqqin.az, this is reflected in the report of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020.
The Ombudsman proposed adding provisions to the legislation in connection with the imposition of restrictions on leaving the country only on the basis of a court decision and sending a notification of the decision to a person (to a mobile number, e-mail address, home address, etc.).
Note that the report will be submitted for discussion at tomorrow’s meeting of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Mejlis.
