Forest fires in the north of the Spanish Island of Tenerife (part of the Canary Islands group), it is not yet possible to take control, the authorities on Saturday have been forced to continue the evacuation of the population.

“The weather has changed, and we had to evacuate the settlements in the north of Tenerife, especially in five areas,” said the representative of the local authorities Manuel Miranda.
According to media reports, up to 7 thousand people were evacuated or received an order to stay at home due to an emergency.
Miranda specified that the temperature and wind power increased during the night, while the humidity decreased. He noted that priority for the authorities is to avoid victims among the population.
However, natural disaster did not affect the areas popular among tourists, and both airports of the islands continue to work in normal mode.
