Oil demand in the world can grow by 2045 by 16 million barrels per day compared to the level of 2022 – up to 116 million b/s. This is stated in the annual review of OPEC.

According to the document, the world demand for energy by 2045 will reach 359.2 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.

It is expected that the demand for all the main types of fuel, except coal, will increase in the long term due to energy policy and obligations in the field of combating climate change.

The largest growth during this period will be in renewable energy sources, first of all chickenpox and sunny, the demand for which will increase by 34.3 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
