Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine and the “West-centric order crisis” the West began a new cold war.
According to him, Hungary should “stay aside”, maintain relations with competitors of the West and claim the role of the regional leader.
“now it has become clear that the largest strategic task facing Hungary in the next decade is to leave the group of mid -developed countries and catch up with developed states, as well as to achieve the status of a regional average power in Central Europe,” said Orban.
