OSCE Secretary General Made First Visit To Kyiv

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine is a “bleeding wound” in the heart of Europe, it must be stopped immediately. This was stated by the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Feridun Sinirlioglu, for the first time after taking office, who visited the capital of Ukraine Kyiv.

, in the framework of his first two -day visit to Kyiv, Sinirlioglu met with senior officials, in particular with the US Foreign Minister Andrei Sibigiga.

It is noted that the Secretary General expressed the readiness of the OSCE to support the issue of resolving the conflict.

“The ongoing war is an open wound in the heart of Europe. She killed, wounded and deprived of millions of people, and also destroyed houses and infrastructure. Every day, civilians pay for this terrible war. She should stop immediately,” he said .

According to the Secretary General, Ukraine is located in the center of the OSCE agenda.

In addition, Sinirlioglu said that 3 OSCE employees who are in custody for about 1000 days should be released.

“I will make every effort to ensure their release and reunion with families and relatives,” he added.
