The first case of monkeys is recorded in Israel. It is reported by TASS.
A man aged about 30 years, who was confirmed by the diagnosis, recently returned from a foreign trip and entered the hospital with symptoms of monkeys smallpox. The patient’s condition is evaluated as mild, he was placed in quarantine.
It also became known about one confirmed case of monkeys in the Netherlands. The National Institute of Health and the Environment expects an increase in the number of cases of infection. Earlier it was reported that in the country the monkey OSPU is suspected of several people.
The UK Ned Britain (UKHSA) previously reported that the total number of monkeys infected with smallpox in the country reached nine people. Spanish authorities introduced a sanitary alarm regime after the discovery of eight cases of infection in Madrid. Cases of the disease are also identified in Sweden, Italy, Australia and Canada.
