Applications for participation in the world’s largest aviation festival, astronautics and technologies Teknofest this year submitted 1,630,000 individual contestants and 788 161 teams.
Teknofest-2024 will be held in the city of Adan in the Mediterranean region of Turkey.
Last year, 1 million contestants and 337 744 teams competed in the framework of Teknofest.
In the first Teknofest held in 2018, 20 thousand contestants and 4,333 teams competed. The competition gathered 50 thousand individual participants and 17,373 teams in 2019. In 2020, this indicator amounted to 100 thousand participants and 20 197 teams. In 2021, 200 thousand participants and 44,912 teams joined the competition. In 2022, this number amounted to 600 thousand participants and 154 034 teams.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Teknofest and the head of the Board of Trustees of the T3 Foundation, Selchuk Bayractar, emphasized that this year the festival “will beat its own records.”
This year, within the framework of Teknofest, technological competitions in 46 main categories and 117 subcateurs will be held.
Aircraft show, concerts, discussions and events on various topics will be organized as part of the festival.
The purpose of the event is to increase interest in society in society and awareness about the achievements of Turkey in the development and production of innovative technologies.
