Since the beginning of the year, more than 4.7 million tourists arrived in the tourism capital of Turkey – Antalya by air, which is 32 percent more than last year.
Thanks to sunny beaches, a favorable climate, natural beauties, historical and cultural monuments, Antalya is attracted by a huge number of local and foreign tourists.
According to the Antalya Culture and Tourism Department, from January 1 to June 20, Antalya was visited by Antalya 4 million 761 thousand 451 tourists. Last year, 3 million 602 thousand 173 tourists visited Antalya in the same period.
Thus, the number of tourists who arrived in Antalya by air increased by 32 percent compared to 2022.
Representatives of local tourism intend to accept up to 16 million tourists before the end of the year.
The representative of the Turkish Travel Agency Association (Türsab) of the Perechin Ryza told Anadolu that the largest number of tourists to Antalya arrived from Germany.
According to him, a significant growth of tourists is also due to favorable weather conditions. “Our goal is to attract 16 million tourists by the end of the year. The tourist season is now going on until the end of November,” he said.
Perechin also noted that after the Pandemia of Coronavirus in the world, tourists no longer do booking earlier, and prefer to book a vacation “at the last minute.”
