The Ministry of National Defense of Turkey (MSB) reported that during operations in the north of Iraq and Syria, 44 terrorist were eliminated over the past week.
The spokeswoman for the Akturk Zeki Department at a weekly briefing said that Turkish armed forces continue to defend the national interests and security of the country, and also contribute to maintaining the global world and stability.
“Our Armed Forces decisively continue to fight any threats and dangers directed against our country. During the anti -terrorist operations, 44 terrorist was eliminated over the past week. Thus, from January 1, the number of neutralized militants reached 452 – 186 of them in the north of Iraq and 266 in Syria,” said Akturk.
He also recalled that on February 20, in the area of the Pençe-Kielit operation in the north of Iraq, a military personnel Mustafa Service died in a collision with terrorists. In connection with the fifth anniversary of the operation “Spring Shield” in the north of Syria, Akhrk expressed gratitude to veterans, and also honored the memory of the dead soldiers, expressing condolences to their families.
