“No word, better reflecting the atmosphere of this year than VAX,” said the vocabulars.
The word VAX in English was first appeared in 1799, and Vaccinate and Vaccination derived from it – in 1800. These words occur from Latin Vacca, which means “cow”. However, on the background of the coronavirus pandemic and mass vaccination, the word VAX and its derivatives began to use several times more often, the report says. Vax-A-Thon (“Vakson”) – an event, during which people are massively instilled, in particular, from COVID-19;
Vaxinista (“Vaccinist”, ironically) – a person who was given from Coronavirus and exposes this status to the phase in social networks. Sometimes it is so called those who participated in the development, delivery or introduction of the vaccine.
