The State Border Service reports the detention of 5 citizens of Pakistan who tried to illegally cross the Azerbaijani-Russian border.
“On September 18 at about 20:00 on the territory of the border post of the Border detachment” Khudat “GPS in the village of Hanoba Khachmaz district, five citizens of Pakistan – Ali Sajad born in 1985, Munavar Vasei born in 1992, Yuseph Subtain born in 1998, Usman Muhammad 2002 born and Hassan Ali born in 2005, ”the department said.
It was established that the three detainees arrived in Azerbaijan at the end of August by the Lahor-Baku flight, two more-the flight of Dubai-Baku in September.
The investigation revealed that Pakistan citizens intended to move from Azerbaijan to Russia, and from there to migrate to one of the European countries.
Operational investigative measures are ongoing.
