Palestinian Autonomy Prime Minister Muhammed Shtai canceled a deal with Israel about the transfer of 1.4 million vaccines from Coronavirus Pfizer. He reported this in the evening of June 18. According to him, the validity of the vaccine expires in June, so they are not ready to accept them in autonomy, writes the Israeli publication “Details”.
Previously, the Israeli authorities decided to transfer the Palestinian autonomy 1.4 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine, the shelf life of which will soon expire. Instead, Israel was supposed to get from Pfizer the same amount of fresh doses of vaccine in September-October 2021 – in the account of the party, which was originally intended for Palestinian autonomy.
According to the Minister of Health, Pa Mai Al-Kaila, Palestinian physicians checked vaccines today and concluded that they do not correspond to the desired characteristics. Therefore, it was decided to return them.
