The event was held at the 80,000th Stad de France stadium in the Parisian suburb of Saint-Deni.
At the stadium, along with thousands of athletes and tens of thousands of spectators, France President Emmanuel Macron and president of the Olympic Committee Thomas Bach.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the French swimmer Leon Marshan, who won the four gold medals of the OI-24, put out the torch with Olympic fire.
Next, the flags of the participating countries took place, including the refugee team, as well as a parade of athletes.
The Znamenosites of the Turkish national team became the silver medalist of the Olympics-2024 boxing Busa Nazi Chakiroglu and the owner of a bronze medal, fighter Taha Akgul.
The flag of the games was transferred to Los Angeles, where the summer Olympiad 2028 will be held. The mayor of Paris Ann Idalgo and the mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass joined the President of the IOC Thomas Bach on stage to carry out the flag relay.
The general offset of the Olympics was won by the US team. American athletes won 126 medals: 40 gold, 44 silver and 43 bronze awards.
The second place was taken by the China team, which also on the account of 40 gold medals, but it lost in the number of silver awards (27). Closes the three leaders of Japan with 20 gold medals.
