France supports Ukraine’s right to use French -acting French missiles within the framework of self -defense against Russia. Paris also said that he does not exclude the sending of French troops to the conflict zone.
Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barro said this in an interview with BBC. He emphasized that France does not establish “red lines” in support of Ukraine.
Barro noted that Western countries need to increase defense budgets. “If we want to do more, we need to spend more and resist new threats,” the minister said.
Speaking about the possibility of using French French missiles, Barro emphasized: “The principles of our support are clear. Ukraine has the right to use these missiles for self -defense.” However, he evaded confirming their use in previous operations.
As for the probability of sending the French military to Ukraine, the minister noted: “We do not exclude a single option.”
Barro assured that France will provide Ukraine support as much as it would be required, emphasizing that the Russian threat affects Europe’s security. “Each success of the Russian army brings the threat to Europe,” he added.
The Minister also stated that France is open to discuss Ukraine’s entry into NATO and is working on the convergence of the positions of European allies on this issue.
