Parliament Of Ukraine Approved Resignation Of Foreign Minister

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at a plenary session on Thursday, September 5, supported the resignation of Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.

This was announced by the deputy of the parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak in telegram.

According to Zheleznyak, 240 people’s deputies voted for the resignation of Kuleba.

He also said that Kuleba was absent in the hall of meetings of the parliament.

Dmitry Kuleba was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on March 4, 2020, before this position he held the post of Deputy Prime Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

At a meeting of the “Servant of the People” faction with the participation of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, on September 4, nine candidates of new ministers were agreed on September 4, while the candidacy of the First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Sibigi was proposed to the post of head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“A meeting of the faction was held … On the agenda – a personnel update … President Vladimir Zelensky joined us.
