The leaders of political parties and political scientists who visited the Agdam region, visited the Juma mosque, examined the ruins of the teahouse. Local mass media report that the participants of the visit were informed about the history of the mosque and the barbarity committed by the Armenians.
It was noted that the Juma Mosque was built in 1868-1870 by the architect Kerbalai Safikhan Karabagi.
This mosque belongs to the “Architecture of Karabakh Mosques” school. The minarets of the destroyed Aghdam mosque were demolished from the inside, ceilings were demolished in several places, and their designs and inscriptions were deliberately damaged beyond recognition.
It was noted that the destruction in Aghdam is a prime example of Armenian vandalism and barbarism. As in other areas occupied by Armenians, unprecedented acts of vandalism were committed against the historical and cultural heritage of our country in Aghdam. All monuments, centers of culture, mosques, cemeteries in the region have been destroyed, desecrated, and some have been armenized.
Although the Armenians are trying to erase the historical and religious heritage of Azerbaijanis in the occupied territories, they will not be able to achieve this.
Stating that the liberated territories will be fully restored, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in his speech in front of the mosque: “The destroyed city of Aghdam is a witness of Armenian vandalism. We will restore Aghdam, all villages. Let no one doubt it. It will be a great job. Of course, it will require a lot of work. But just as we have shown unity for 44 days, I am sure that we will show unity and determination in the restoration of the liberated lands. We will restore all our cities, they will become even more beautiful. We will restore the remaining historical monuments. in our cities and once again demonstrate our strength. “
