Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikola Pashinyan “Civil Agreement” will participate in extraordinary parliamentary elections independently and will not be blocked with other political forces. This was announced on Thursday at the briefing a member of the organization’s board, the leader of the ruling block “my step” of Lilith Makunz, reports TASS.
“Civil Agreement” will not create an election block. We plan to participate in the elections as a separate party, “she said.
Deputies of the Armenian Parliament on Monday at a special meeting did not vote for the candidacy of I.O. The heads of the Cabinet of Cabinet Nikola Pashinyan for the post of Prime Minister of the Republic to spend early parliamentary elections in the country. The second meeting of the Parliament on the election of the new Prime Minister of the Republic will take place on May 10th. If parliamentarians do not vote for the election of Pashinyan again, the legislature will be dissolved, and the President of Armen Sargsyan will appoint a date of extraordinary elections, which, according to previously made Pashinian statements, will be held on June 20.
Parliamentary opposition factions “Enlightened Armenia” and “prosperous Armenia” already stated that after the resignation of Pashinyan, he did not put forward his candidates for the post of prime minister. According to experts, the main competitors of the Party of Pashinian will be the blocks of former presidents Robert Kocharian and Serzh Sargsyan.
