Azerbaijani State Economic University (UNEC) and Pasha Life Insurance OJSC signed a memorandum of cooperation on the organization of events aimed at the professional development of youth.
The event held on August 12 was attended by UNEC Rector Professor Adala Muradov, Chairman of Pasha Life Insurance Niyaz Ismailov, structural leaders of the university and representatives of the company.
The rector Adala Muradov spoke about the importance of expanding the United relations with the real sector, as well as the formation of market relations in the field of education in order to increase practical knowledge and students’ skills. The rector also spoke about the important role of the UNEC Extern distance education center in the online education system: he said that 50 hybrid laboratories are successfully working and that 50 such laboratories will be commissioned in the current academic year. Rector A. Muradov expressed confidence that cooperation with Pasha Life will be beneficial for both sides.
The chairman of Pasha Life Insurance OJSC, Niyaz Ismailov spoke about the company’s activities, emphasized that education is the most stable tool to ensure graduates employment and that, along with specialty, it is important to acquire practical skills. Noting that UNEC graduates with their knowledge and skills occupy a worthy place in the labor market, the chairman said that a large percentage of employees of the company he headed are graduates of this higher educational institution, and that UNEC students are currently actively participating in the company’s internship programs for Data Science, statistics and economy metrics. Niyaz Ismailov emphasized that mutual cooperation will make a new contribution to ensuring the employment of graduates of the university.
Then, between the two sides, a memorandum of cooperation was signed. According to the document, it is planned to implement the UNEC graduates project, teach students and graduates in the field of insurance, form new ideas in the field of insurance, organize contests and joint projects, involve students in internship programs and cooperate in other areas.
