The head of the General Staff of Armenia, Onik Gasparyan, was relieved of his post, since the decree on his dismissal in time was not signed by the President of the country Armen Sarkisian and at the same time did not appeal to the Constitutional Court. As reported by the Armenian media, the Prime Minister of the republic Nikol Pashinyan said this on Wednesday.
“Taking as a basis the fact that President Armen Sarkissian did not sign the draft decree on the release of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, but did not dispute it in the Constitutional Court, since March 10, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan is relieved of his post by force of law,” the press service of the Armenian government quotes Pashinyan.
