Armenia is extremely interested in the supply of Russian weapons, in particular, Su-30cm fighters. About this in an interview with Interfax said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
On the eve of his visit to Moscow to meet with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Pashinyan stressed that Armenia is focused on broad and long-term military-technical cooperation with Russia, which, according to him, follows from the long-term strategic interests of the two countries.
“Armenia is extremely interested in deliveries from Russia to have a modern and compatible, first of all, with the Russian Federation and other Allies on the CSTO, weapons and ammunition,” said the Armenian prime minister, adding that in Yerevan also count on So that the supply of weapons and ammunition into the country was carried out in the same configuration as for the Russian Armed Forces.
Regarding the acquisition of Su-30cm Pashinyan fighters also answered in the affirmative, noting that the purchase of these aircraft is provided for by both Armenian-Russian bilateral contractual contracts and the development program of the national armed forces.
Armenian leader also stressed that early parliamentary elections in Armenia will not affect the nature of relations with Russia.
