Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan convened its supporters from all regions of the Republic on June 17 to a national rally and a march in Yerevan on the occasion of extraordinary parliamentary elections, which are scheduled for June 20. He stated this on Tuesday in the city of Sisiane Syunik region, reports TASS.
“We discussed that the party” Civil Agreement “will arrange a national rally and the procession on June 17 at 20:00 on the Republic Square in Yerevan. On June 17, all our supporters must be gathering on the Republic Square from all over the country,” he said.
Earlier, the party of Pashinian “Civil Agreement” and the election block of the former President Robert Kocharian filed applications to the Mary of Yerevan with a request to give permission to hold rallies on June 18 on the Republic Square. Despite the fact that the mayor’s office decided to refuse the Kocharyan block, the court gave permission to the rally, after which the Pashinian team changed the date of his rally. “We do this for the reason that the force that will defeat the defeat wants to get under the batons of the police and the goal is to delegate elections. We will not give them such a chance,” said Pashinyan.
