Most members of the Parliamentary faction “My Step” did not know that the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is going to go to extraordinary elections, reports on Friday Zohovurd newspaper.
The publication notes that during the discussion, which took place on February 7, Pashinyan stated that the early elections were not possible in the near future, since there are many questions. He argued that without reforming the Election Code, it is not necessary to go on extraordinary elections, as it causes damage to the block.
And now, to surprise, for many team members, Pashinyan after meeting with the leader of the Party “Prosperous Armenia”, Gagik Troharov announced the appointment of extraordinary elections on June 20.
“Note that this is not the first case when members of the Pashinian team from the press find out what they expect them ahead,” the newspaper notes.
The situation is especially noteworthy in the sense that this decision Pashinyan accepted after discussions with opposition forces. It turns out that oppositionists were more informed about the upcoming processes, rather than his comrades from the ruling fraction.
