Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan expects from the repayment of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Ara Aivazyan explanations about his desire to resign.
“We are grateful to Mr. Aivazyan for the work done, but we believe that our state and national interest obliges that he publicly clarify – who, when, where and how he intended to do any step or decide, which contradicted the state and national Interest of our country, “- quotes Interfax of Pashinyan’s press secretary Man Gevorkyan.
“We expect Mr. Awazyan publicly provide clarification,” said Gevorkyan.
Earlier, Ara Ayvazian at a meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that “with great difficulty” made a decision on resignation, explaining his disagreement with the initiatives of the authorities he considers contradictory national interests. Awazyan, appointed by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 18, 2020, declared his resignation on May 27.
