Pashinyan Party did not support anti -azerbaijani statement

Armenia parliament did not accept the statement proposed by the opposition addressed to the Azerbaijani parliament. The draft document initiated by the Armenia faction was supported by only 29 deputies of 97 those present in the hall. The rest abstained.

Voting was preceded by a three -hour discussion, during which the authorities and the opposition violently discussed the process of negotiations and the actions of the leadership of Armenia.

Armenia parliament on Friday convened an extraordinary meeting in order to discuss and accept the draft statement proposed by the Armenia block in response to a similar document adopted in early November by Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan.

The ruling faction did not like the formulations in the text of the draft statement “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic”, “Republic of Artsakh”, “The right of the Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination”, etc.
