Armenia cannot independently ensure its own security, Russia is a guarantor of security, Russia said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a press conference.
“Armenia is a guarantor of the safety of Karabakh, the guarantor of Armenia – Russia. If Armenia could ensure its own security, then in our security formula it would not have been written that the guarantor of security is Russia,” Pashinyan said.
Pashinyan again stated that Russia should initiate discussions in the UN Security Council on the establishment of its peacekeepers with an international mandate or sending an international peacekeeping mission to the region.
