Patriarch Cyril was banned from entering Lithuania

Patriarch Kirill, who supported the war, begun by Russia against Ukraine, is prohibited from entering Lithuania. At the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church is included in the list of unwanted persons on June 23, the Ministry of the Interior said.

The decision is dictated by the fact that Cyril in his statements denied the territorial integrity of Ukraine and supported the aggressive actions of Russia, notes the Ministry of Internal Affairs. “Patriarch Kirill deliberately denies the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, justifies and supports the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation, grossly violating the norms and principles of international law,” the commentary of the Ministry of the Ministry of Enthus said.
