Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev is on a visit to Iran, local media reports.
The visit took place at the official invitation of the Secretary of the Supreme Council of the National Security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Rear Admiral Ali Shamhani.
It is expected that in addition to meeting with the Iranian colleague, Patrushev will meet with other senior officials.
The issues of bilateral relations, development and expansion of cooperation in the international arena will be discussed.
Secretary of the Russian Security Council is accompanied by an economic delegation.
