In Pavlovsk (the city is part of the Pushkin district of St. Petersburg), the Pavlovsky Palace caught fire, reports the Telegram channel “Mash on the Moika”.
According to witnesses, there was a short circuit of the wiring on the second floor of the building, black smoke began to rise from the palace.
Firefighters are looking for a source of fire. The Pavlovsk Museum-Reserve stated that the causes of the fire were being clarified.
Pavlovsky Palace was the summer residence of Emperor Paul I. The palace and park ensemble was built for about 50 years by architects Charles Cameron, Vincenzo Brenn, Jacomo Kvarengi, Andrey Voronikhin, Carlo Rossi.
