The United States will continue to support Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of the United States (Pentagon) Lloyd Austin in an interview with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustema Umrov.
According to the Pentagon press service, the ministers discussed the priorities of American assistance in the field of Ukrainian security, including the provision of air defense systems to protect Ukrainian citizens and critical infrastructure of the country from the attacks of the Russian Federation, as well as the supply of artillery guns, ammunition and armored vehicles.
Austin confirmed that the United States will continue to support “free and sovereign Ukraine.”
The ministers also affected the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine (UDCG), which will be held on September 6 at the US air base Ramstein in Germany, where about 50 countries-allies and partners will discuss the urgent military needs of Ukraine.
