In Peru during archaeological excavations, a mummy was found for more than 3,000 years.
Archaeologists from the National University of San Markos Mayor found an extraordinary find in the Rimak Valley near Lima.
The head of the district administration Rimak Nestor de la Ros noted that the mummy was discovered thanks to the Huaca La Florida research program, initiated to preserve the history and traditions of the region.
The mummy was wrapped in a funeral bag of cotton. Researchers claim that in this area the cemetery was once located.
Nearby were discovered bottles, cups for necklaces, shells, mollusks and coca leaves, which are believed to be part of the ceremonial offering, symbolizing the cultural practices and beliefs of that time.
The mummy will be carefully studied by specialists with the support of the Ministry.
