Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the possible entry of Finland and Sweden to NATO, RIA Novosti reports.
“Any extension of NATO worries Russia. NATO is not an institution of development. NATO is a confrontation tool. The Alliance is so conceived, it is designed, so exists. This is an absolute obvious fact. Expansion is a threat to us,” said the Kremlin representative.
Previously, the US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland made the possibility of entering Finland and Sweden to NATO.
