Peskov denied statement of Ukraine about assault “Azovstal”

“In Mariupol, the Russian military blocked the Azovstal plant, but they did not start to storm it, although they fix the periodic attempts of the people there to open fire.” This was stated at a briefing by the press secretary of the president Dmitry Peskov, reports Interfax.

According to him, Vladimir Putin was publicly given an order to cancel the assault.

“There is no assault. We see that there are exacerbations associated with the fact that the militants go to the fire positions. These attempts are suppressed very quickly. There is nothing to say the other yet,” he added.

Peskov also called the nonsense of the publication of the Western media that on May 9 Vladimir Putin could declare war on Ukraine and introduce universal mobilization.
