Philippines Sent 7,000 Police Officers To Detain Ex-president Duterte

more than 7 thousand police officers are aimed at the detention of former President Rodrigo Duterte, looking for by the International Police Organization (Interpol) for Red Notification for Crimes against Humanity, committed during the operations “War with drugs”.

According to the newspaper Manila Times, the Unsembled senior representative of the National Police of the Philippines (PNP) stated that at least 7 thousand police officers would be involved in Duterte to detain Duterte to return to the country.

Security forces are sent to various transport points, in particular to Ninoy Akino Airport in the capital of Manila.

The Presidential Administration said that it did not receive information that Interpol had been bought a red notification.

Ex-President announced cooperation

On the eve of the additional elections that will be held at the Philippines on May 12, the ex-president, together with the current vice president of the country, Sarai Duterte and his daughter visited the Hong Kong district van tea.

He again stated that he was ready to go to jail if the International Criminal Court (MUS) will issue an order for his arrest for the operation “War with drugs” that had begun in 2016, as a result of which, according to some reports, more than 6,000 people died.

Mus and the Philippine Operation “War with Drugs”

In September 2021, Mus decided to investigate crimes against humanity, allegedly committed during the operations of Duterte on a war with drugs from 2016 to 2022.

At the end of the year, the Philippines considered the charges and the investigation was suspended after the statement that Mus did not have jurisdiction as the last instance.

The Philippines left the Roman Statute, the Constituent Agreement of the Court, on March 17, 2018 after the Mus began a preliminary investigation.

July 18, 2023 Mus decided to continue the investigation.
