PKK/YPG Occupies Areas Left By Syrian Regime In Deir Ez-Zor

amid the onset of anti -government armed groups at the Homs and the capital of Syria Damascus, the army of the Bashar Assad regime began to transfer some units from the border with Iraq to the west of the country.

Part of the Syrian regime forces began to depart from the occupied RKK/YPG district in the Iraq of Deir Ez-Zor in the east of the country. This territory is located on the line shared by the Euphrates River.

In the territory, which also ensures the safety of the strategic corridor of the supplies of Iran, leaning through the territories of Iraq to Syria and from Syria to Lebanon, the regime army left the RSC/YPG 7 villages. These are the settlements of Murrat, Hasham, Mazlum, Tabiye, Husseinia, Salikhia and Hatla.

The situation in Deir ez-Zor

It is known that the groups supported by Iran are actively present in the region that extends from the administrative center of Deir ez-Zor and ending with Al-Bucemal district near the Syrian-Iraqi border.

Deir ez-zor areas east of the Euphrates River are located under the occupation of the US terrorist organization PKK/YPG, and the city center and rural areas are controlled by the Bashar Assad regime and groups supported by Iran.

The situation in Syria

In the northern part of the Aleppo province on November 27, clashes began between the forces of the Bashar Assad regime and armed groups against the regime.

On November 30, opponents of the regime took control of most of the city center of Aleppo, and also established full control over the territory of the entire Idlib province.

December 5, after fierce battles, the opposition forces liberated the city of the city of Ham from the regime troops.

At the same time, the Syrian National Army continues the Operation “Dawn of Freedom” against the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, which began on December 1 in the north of the Aleppo province.

During the operation, the Center for the city of Tel Rifat from terrorists was liberated.
