Poland’s authorities intend to place 10 thousand military personnel on the border with Belarus, said the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense Mariuszhak.
“There will be about 10 thousand soldiers on the border – 4 thousand will directly support the border guard, 6 thousand will be in the region,” the head of the defense department said. He also noted that today the total number of Armed Forces of Poland is 170 thousand military.
Earlier, the commandant of the border guard of Poland Tomash Prague turned to the Ministry of Defense with a request to additionally send another 1 thousand military to the Polish-Belarusian border.
