Polish authorities transferred the bill to amend the Constitution to the parliament, which will allow the government to confiscate the assets of the Russian Gazprom, or rather, its share in the Europol Gaz, the operator of the Polish part of the Yamal -Europe gas pipeline. Russian media write about this.
“We are ready to submit it to the vote (the bill – ed.), but only if the opposition states that the project will be considered positively. So far, this is not possible from the lips of representatives of parliamentary factions,” said Polish Government Peter Muller.
The authorities plan to transfer Russian property to restore Ukraine, but it is impossible to do this without changing the Constitution. While the share of Gazprom in Europol GAZ has not been nationalized, a temporary external department has been introduced in a joint venture, the Polish government said.
On November 14, Poland authorities introduced the external control in the Europol GAZ. 48% of the shares of the company owning the Polish section of the Yamal -Europe pipeline, were compulsory control of the country’s Ministry of Development.
