The Poland Ministry of Foreign Affairs no longer operates diplomats who graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), the head of the department Zbignnev Rau said Gazeta Polska.
The minister asked if diplomats who graduated from MGIMO work in the Polish Foreign Ministry.
“no more,” he answered.
Answering how much they have not been working, RAU said that “for two months”.
The minister called the dismissal of MGIMO graduates from the Polish Foreign Ministry “the closure of a very important process, which is part of the widely understood decommunization.”
Poland Foreign Ministry is not the first to report the dismissal of MGIMO graduates from the ministry. This was indicated by the head of the Polish Foreign Department from 2018 to 2020 Yatsek Chaputovich.
“now in leading positions – in the country or abroad – there are no those who worked in the communist departments or were a graduate of Moscow MGIMO,” he said in the fall of 2018.
