Polish Ministry Of Defense: Neighboring Countries From Russian Federation Should Not Send Peacekeepers To Ukraine

countries bordering Russia should not join a possible peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Poland Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh, reports the Polish information television channel Polsat News.

“No country bordering Russia should participate in such a stabilization mission, since this can easily lead to provocations,” said the head of the defense department of Poland.

Kosinyak-Kamysh claims that sending soldiers to Ukraine is potentially dangerous for these countries due to the likelihood of provocations.

According to the minister, today there is no coalition of the countries that plan to send troops to Ukraine. “

“Poland will not send troops to Ukraine. I want to be extremely clear in this matter. We have other tasks,” said the Polish minister.

The task of Warsaw is to be a “logistics hub for Ukraine, and in the future, possibly, an infrastructure hub, if the maintenance of peace in the country is ensured.”

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke out for sending European troops to Ukraine, but emphasized that this could only happen on a very limited scale and far from the conflict zones.

In the meantime, The Times reported that the UK is considering sending Typhoon fighters to Ukraine to perform an air patrol mission.

In London, they are convinced that such a step will help to avoid the deployment of a large number of troops in Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that for Russia it is unacceptable for the deployment of NATO member troops in Ukraine after reaching an agreement on the settlement of the conflict.
