Pope Francis, concerned about the growing tension around Ukraine, called on Christians to pray for the world in this country. He stated this in the late Sunday greeting angelus in the Vatican.
Pontiff admitted that he watches “the increasing tension that threatens to apply a new blow to the world in Ukraine”, which threatens and security in Europe, Interfax reports.
In this regard, the head of the Roman Catholic Church called on “to raise the prayers of the Almighty” for “all actions and political initiatives served to human fraternity, and not the private interests of the parties.”
